Trey Robert Virgil Owen, III, 20, born November 10, 1993 in San Antonio, Texas, to Robert and Norma Owen passed away on November 28, 2013 in Denton, Texas. Funeral services will be held at Denton Funeral Home, 120 S. Carroll Blvd. on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Trey will always be remembered as a beloved father, son and brother. He was an avid gamer and world traveler. He graduated from North Hills High School in Irving, Texas and continued his education at The University of North Texas. Trey loved his family and was proud of his heritage. He is survived by his son, Ezra Virgil Owen, mother of Ezra, Sheila Rodriguez; parents, Robert and Norma Owen; brothers; Amador Cantu and David Malec, sisters; Athena Malec and Zorraida Perez-Cantu, grandparents, Patricia Chamberlain, Patricia Owen, Afton Vanderpool, Fran and Billy Fincher, and great-grandmother Bertha Newton. Other family members include aunts; Cathy Kenessey, Kim Owen, Jennie Owen, Jackie Chamberlain, Barbara Wayland and Marless Owen, uncles; Greg Owen Steve Kenessey, Jack Church, Joe Church, Jimmy Church, Tom Owen and Danny “Doc” Johnson, nieces; Alyssa Cantu, Alexis Cantu, Victoria Pittman and Serenity Malec, nephews; Tristin Strickland, Matthew Malec, Gabriel (Gabe) Malec and Robert (Bobby) Malec, cousins; Marlena Gann, Jaylin Gann, Kailey Euceda, Amber Smith, Brandon Smith, Cameron Smith, Wendy Caplinger, Claudia Baron, Sharon Church, Chris Church, Jennifer Williams, Savannah Church, Alease Church, Reagan Owen, Erzebet Kenessey, Johnathan Barrett, Anastesia Kenessey, Stephan (Bela) Kenessey, Craig Johnson, Tim Owen, Tamara Gunter, Matthew Owen, Mark Owen, Naomi Owen-Brown, Kristen Gunter-Johns, Amber Gunter-Mayes, Thomas James, Christine Elizabeth Grabel, Nicholas Owen, Mark Owen, Jr., John Owen, Michael Owen, Alexander Owen, Megan Brown, Tyler Brown, Warren Johns, III, Logan Johns, Addison Mayes and Gemma Mayes. Trey was pre-deceased by grandparents; Clayton Wright, Herbert Chamberlain and Robert V. Owen Sr., great-grandparents; Edith Owen, Virgil Owen, Earl Newton, Henry Herman Johnson, Roberta Macklem and James F. Kennedy. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to any Wells Fargo Branch to his son, Ezra Virgil Owen, date of birth is February 12, 2013.
